Welcome Back Nighthawks!
Hello Nighthawk families and welcome (back) to New Hope for the 2024-25 school year! We’re excited to have so many new families joining us this year, and we hope everyone has had a great first month.
Below is our first PTO newsletter of the year. As an email subscriber, you will receive an update from us monthly. You can look forward to event announcements, volunteer sign-ups, and fundraising updates.

Room Parent Reminders — September
If you are a room parent, please make sure you have emailed your class and introduced yourself before Fall Break
If you are a room parent, please make sure you have scheduled time to meet with your teacher and discuss plans for the year before Fall Break
September’s Break Room Treat will be provided by 5th grade. 5th grade parents, please make sure to check your emails.
Membership Drive Popsicle Party Winners!
We’re so excited to announce that our PTO Membership Drive closed on 8/30 and we have over 290 families participating! Thank you all so much for your support. We’re even more excited to announce our classes with the most participation in each grade level who will receive a popsicle party during class! Congratulations to all of our winners!
First Meeting — September 10th | 6pm |Cafe
Our first general meeting of the year is coming up soon so mark your calendars! ALL of our Nighthawks are invited to attend, but most especially all of our PTO members. You don’t want to miss this chance to get involved in what’s happening at school. We’ll be announcing all of our events for the year, reviewing our budget, volunteer opportunities and more. See you there!

Chromebook Fundraiser Continues Thru 9/11
As of Tuesday, 9/3 we are 67% to our goal of $30,000! Amazing job Nighthawk families! We have one week left so there’s still plenty of time to participate.
September Spirit Celebration — Culvers 9/17
Make sure to wear your New Hope spirit wear to school on Tuesday, September 17th to celebrate our school. Then join us for dinner at Culver’s (corner of Bethelview & Castleberry Rds) between 5pm and 8pm. A portion of all proceeds made during this time will be donated back to our school and help fund our PTO!
Movie Night — Friday, October 4th | 6pm
Mark your calendars and plan to join us out on the playground for our annual Movie Night on Friday, October 4th. This event is completely free to enter and open to all Nighthawk families. We will have food, Book Fair shopping, and activities available for purchase prior to the movie beginning at sundown.
Concessions and our pumpkin decorating activity are available for pre-order on our website www.newhopepto.org/store so make sure to purchase your items today and skip the lines!
5th Grade Yearbook Ads | Buy Before 11/8
Calling all 5th grade families! Yearbook ads are a special way to honor your 5th grader’s achievement of finishing elementary school. Purchase a section of the yearbook that’s all your own to include a special message, photos, or quotes. Orders close 11/8 and will NOT re-open so make sure you purchase today!
Still need to purchase your yearbook? Order now before they close on 2/24/25!
Spirit Celebrations
Make sure to wear your NHES spirit wear to school and then join us for dinner at these participating restaurants! Each sponsor will donate a portion of their proceeds earned back to New Hope PTO. This is a great way to skip the dinner grind and make a difference for our school!
