September Volunteer Opportunities

5th Grade Parents: September is your month to provide the break room treat for our staff! Please make sure you make your donation here as soon as possible. 4th grade parents: get ahead of October using the information below.

Fundraiser Prize Distribution: We are looking for volunteers to help ensure all of our Nighthawks get their prizes quickly during our SOAR into Reading Fall Fundraiser. Sign-up here to help!

Day of Awesome Volunteers: If our school reaches its $30,000 fundraising goal, PTO will be hosting a DAY OF AWESOME on Friday, September 19th, to include bounce houses, DJ and lots of fun! We must have parents volunteers to help make this event a success. Sign-up today!

SOAR into Reading Fall Fundraiser

It’s HERE! New Hope’s first ever READ-A-THON to raise money for our school begins on Tuesday, September 2nd!

Our PTO memberships help cover the day-to-day magic that makes school extra special for our students and teachers. Your memberships help fund so much, including teacher appreciation and free family events like Movie Night (coming 10/3!)

Our SOAR into Reading Fall Fundraiser is a separate opportunity to make a BIG impact on our school! This is our once-a-year chance to raise money for larger items like new playground equipment, technology, or teacher grants.

This year our PTO is running this fundraiser completely on our own, but we need your help! We’re hoping to raise $30,000 — here’s what to do:

1. Make sure your student is registered on or before 9/2 using the QR code below.

2. Set up your student (or family) donation page. You can add a photo and make it your own. Here’s a quick how-to video.

3. Share it with your friends, family, neighbors, work colleagues, and social media to raise funds right from the platform. The more you share, the more money New Hope will raise and the more prizes you can earn.

4. GET READING. Track your reading minutes each day to earn the chance to bring a stuffy to school and other cool prizes.

5. Check out all of the amazing prizes your student and class could win by participating. Help us reach our $30,000 goal and celebrate with a DAY OF AWESOME on Friday, September 19th.

PTO Meeting — Get Connected This Year

PTO will host our first meeting of the year on Tuesday, September 9th, at 9am in the Cafe. This is the meeting you want to attend if you’re interested in how to be involved at school, you’re a room parent, or you purchased a PTO membership. We will cover everything there is to know about getting involved, volunteering, and where our money will be spent this year. If you can’t attend in person, join us virtually.

Vendetti’s Spirit Night - September 16th

Spirit Nights are our once-a-month tradition of gathering together as a school community to build community and raise money for our school. Wear your New Hope gear on 9/16 (Need something to wear? Shop Now!) and then join us for dinner at Vendetti’s! Make sure you mention New Hope at check-out so that a portion of your sale is donated back to us.

This is always one of our most popular nights of the year, so make sure you don’t miss it. We can’t wait to see you there!

We’re excited to bring back many New Hope classic events this year. This calendar will be coming home in folders, but just in case we’ve included it here. If you’d like, download and print it to hang on your fridge.

Spirit Wear on sale NOW!

Did you miss us at Open House? Need something for Spirit Day on 9/16? You’re in luck — all remaining items are now available on our website and available for purchase! List your child’s name and teacher at check-out and we will deliver it to them at school to bring home. All proceeds raised are donated back to the school to purchase enhancements.

One and DONE donations now available!

Each month, the PTO asks a different grade level to donate money and supplies to provide a break room treat for our staff (see calendar below). This year, we’re making that ask easier than ever! Donate now and get it done, rather than stressing during the year about when you’re supposed to get to the store or send in money.

Simply follow this link, select your break room treat donation amount, and be sure to include your child’s name and teacher at check-out. We’ll make sure your donation is ear-marked for your grade level and save those funds to be used during the appropriate month. NO stress for you later in the year and happy, supported staff members. It’s a win win!

Kroger Community Rewards

Are you a Kroger shopper? Know someone who is? Link your Kroger account and earn rewards for our school! Follow the instructions below to link your Kroger account with New Hope PTO and Kroger will donate a percentage of your purchases back to our school.  It’s that easy!

1. Make sure you have an active Kroger digital account.

5th Grade Celebration Items now available

Fifth grade families! You’ve made it to the last year of elementary school! There is a LOT that will take place to celebrate that achievement at the end of the year, but you can spread out the cost and to-do list by checking some of those things off your list.

Now available for purchase: Celebratory yard signs. Order your yard sign to celebrate your student’s achievements now, and we’ll deliver it to you in April. Orders will close end of February.

Now available for purchase: Yearbook tribute ads. The yearbooks is a wonderful way to remember the school year at New Hope and our 5th graders have a special place in this amazing publication. Purchase a special tribute ad — customized to your liking with photos, images, and special notes — to be placed in the back of this year’s book. Just make sure you order the book as well so you can see the finished product! Orders close mid-November so get this done EARLY.
