Welcome back Nighthawks! We are thrilled be starting another year with you, and will be sending this newsletter once a month to keep you informed of school events. Open House Volunteer Opportunities

• We need your help to make Open House a success! We are looking for volunteers to help us sell spirit wear, yearbooks, memberships and more in the hours you are not visiting your child’s teacher. No PTO experience required, just a willingness to help! Sign up today to help keep the lines short and allow a board member the chance to go meet their teacher with their child.

Mark your calendars for Kindergarten Roundup and Open House! This is the best time to meet your child’s teacher, find their classroom, drop off school supplies, and get ready for the year. Don’t forget to come see us in the cafe for all of your New Hope gear!

Kindergarten, SI, and PreK will attend on Wednesday, 7/30

1st through 5th grades will attend on Thursday, 7/31

Spirit Wear on sale NOW!

Get ready for the year with all the best New Hope gear. Spirit wear is on sale NOW and will be available at Open House. Make sure you stop by the cafeteria to get your items before they sell out! We have multiple new T-shirts, hooded sweatshirts, crew neck sweatshirts, hats, Croc charms, blankets, and more!

Any remaining items will be added to our website for purchase after Open House, however we cannot guarantee availability.

Join the PTO and make a difference

Open House officially kicks off our annual PTO membership drive and we’d love to have your support! One PTO membership makes a $20 donation to our school and gives your family a vote in how those funds are used. Funds raised in past years have supported the purchase of laptops, playground equipment, and other essential items to enhance our students’ experience.

Our annual class contest starts NOW. The homeroom with the most PTO membership participation by percentage before 8/22 will earn a popsicle party for their class! Remember, one membership covers all of your students, so when you purchase please ensure you list all children and their teachers at check-out. We will take care of the rest!

One and DONE treat donations now available!

Each month, the PTO asks a different grade level to donate money and supplies to provide a break room treat for our staff (see calendar below). This year, we’re making that ask easier than ever! Donate now and get it done, rather than stressing during the year about when you’re supposed to get to the store or send in money.

Simply follow this link, select your break room treat donation amount, and be sure to include your child’s name and teacher at check-out. We’ll make sure your donation is ear-marked for your grade level and save those funds to be used during the appropriate month. NO stress for you later in the year and happy, supported staff members. It’s a win win!

5th Grade Celebration Items now available

Fifth grade families! You’ve made it to the last year of elementary school! There is a LOT that will take place to celebrate that achievement at the end of the year, but you can spread out the cost and to-do list by checking some of those things off your list NOW.

Now available for purchase: Celebratory yard signs. Order your yard sign to celebrate your student’s achievements now, and we’ll deliver it to you in April. Orders will close end of February.

Now available for purchase: Yearbook tribute ads. The yearbooks is a wonderful way to remember the school year at New Hope and our 5th graders have a special place in this amazing publication. Purchase a special tribute ad — customized to your liking with photos, images, and special notes — to be placed in the back of this year’s book. Just make sure you order the book as well so you can see the finished product! Orders close mid-November so get this done EARLY.
